Research in Enterprises programme: A new funding programme by the Research and Innovation Foundation (RIF) is offering local small and medium sized enterprises (SMEs) the chance to increase their participation in research and innovation activities, with special emphasis on those that have yet to participate in any of its sponsorship schemes.
More specifically, RIF has announced two new calls for proposals for the “Research in Enterprises” Programme, with a total budget of €6m, of which €1m will go towards enterprises without prior significant participation in research, technological development and innovation (RTDI) projects. The maximum funding per project is €200,000, while the Call is being financed by the Recovery and Resilience Facility of the NextGenerationEU instrument.
Proposals must be submitted through the IRIS portal by 24 April 2023, at 1pm.
“The ‘Research in Enterprises’ Programme aims to enhance the competitiveness of Cypriot enterprises thus resulting in making a contribution in the country’s economic growth, through the development of new products / services / production methods of high added value, or significantly enhanced products / services / production methods which will be commercially used, and to intensify the participation of Cypriot enterprises in research activities resulting in raising the contribution of the private sector in the country’s RTDI investments,” RIF said on its website.
The entities eligible to participate in this Programme are small, medium, or large enterprises.
