Cyprus – The Council of Ministers issued a Decree (September 2022) regarding income tax returns for 2022.
The decree states that all individuals that during 2022 have an income not exceeding the amount of 19,500 euros are exempt from the obligation to file an income tax return for the year 2022.
Since August 2020 the legislation calls for all citizens to prepare and submit tax return, regardless if their income is below the 19,500 euros per year. This has been since then postponed multiple times due to the Covid outbreak and now basically due to the inflation, energy and possible economic crisis.
All other Citizens with income above the 19,500 euros per year limit must submit their income tax return through the updated TAXISNET website.
