Senior Officials of the Kuwait projects company (KIPCO) were in Cyprus recently following the Presidential visit to Kuwait in October 2013. The Kuwait Investment Company visited Cyprus for two days of exploratory contacts organized by Invest Cyprus (CIPA). They discussed issues regarding the privatisation of the island’s semi-government organisations, the proposed LNG terminal at Vasilikos, air links and financial issues.
President Anastasiades hosted a working lunch at the Presidential Palace for the delegation, which also met with representatives of the private sector. The Kuwaiti officials also held separate meetings with the Finance Minister, Harris Georgiades, and the Minister of Energy, Commerce, Industry & Tourism Yiorgos Lakkotrypis while they also discussed maters of interest at a meeting attended by the Minister of Communications & Works, Marios Demetriades, the Minister of Agriculture, Natural Resources & Environment, Nicos Kouyialis and the Under-Secretary to the President, Constantinos Petrides..
