Cyprus credit transactions up 3% in Dec
Credit card transactions in Cyprus rose 3.0 percent year-on-year in December. Sales with credit cards in December, normally the busiest month for retailers, reached 207.2 million euros, clearing agency JCC Payment Systems said.
There were 2.57 million transactions, up 4.0 percent on the previous year. Cypriots spent 1.89 billion with their credit cards in the whole of last year, a 16 percent increase over 2007.
