According to Cystat, the Turnover Value Index of Retail Trade Value for March 2023 climbed by 10.9% as compared to the same month in the previous year, while the Turnover Volume Index of Retail Trade increased by 6.5%.
The category “Textiles, clothing, and footwear” saw the largest increase in value (24.6%), followed by “Computers and telecommunications equipment, curtains, carpets, books, stationery, sporting equipment, toys, flowers, plants, watches, jewelry, etc.” with a 16.2% increase.
The same categories had some of the biggest volume increases, with a corresponding rise of 22.1% and 13.9%.
“Textiles, clothing, and footwear” had increases in both value and volume from January to March 2023 of 23.9% and 22.2%, respectively.
