Citi, U.S. in equity deal; economies weaken

President of the House of Representatives Marios Garoyian signed the book of condolences at the Slovak Embassy in Nicosia, for the lives lost in a tour bus accident on September 6.

"It is with profound sorrow that I was informed of the tragic tour bus accident, in which 14 Slovak citizens lost their lives and many more were seriously injured, while traveling from Kosice to Croatia," Garoyian wrote in the book of condolences.

He added that "on behalf of all members of the House of Representatives and on my behalf, I extend our deepest sympathy and condolences to the bereaved families and our heartfelt wishes for speedy recovery to the wounded."

"Our sincere thoughts and prayers are with them all, as well as with the friendly people of the Slovak Republic and their leadership in these difficult moments of mourning and recuperation," he concluded.

Following the signing of the book of condolences, Garoyian and Ambassador Anna Turenicova held a short meeting.
