Schoenherr has been appointed by the European Commission to advise on a renewable energy practices project.

The project will analyse the implementation of the European Renewable Energy Directive (Directive 2009/28/EC) in all 27 member states.
According to the EC’s website, the directive is to “establish a common framework for the production and promotion of energy from renewable sources.”
Schoenherr has advised on windparks, hydro plants, and photovoltaic and biomass installations in Central Europe, confirmed partner Markus Piuk.
The 30-strong consortium led by Schoenherr also includes environmental consultancies Mercados EMI of Spain and CE Delft of the Netherlands, and British-based reporting firm Point Carbon-Thomson Reuters.
