Cyprus travel abroad up 5.4% in June
Travel abroad from Cyprus rose by 5.4% over the year earlier in June according to the latest figures from the Statistical Service.
On the basis of the results of the Passengers Survey, 103,014 residents of Cyprus returned from a trip abroad in June 2010 compared with 97,713 in the corresponding month of last year.
In June 2010 there was an increase of 7.0% in the number of trips of residents to Greece (from 32,068 in June 2009 to 34,326 in June 2010).
There was a 10.2% increase to the United Kingdom (from 26,804 to 29,535 this year).
Trips to Russia were up by 34.3% in the same period to 5,471.
